Strengths: Super portable; Express Media player (plays DVD and CD without boot-up); Touch and Launch TouhcPad (Side bars and corners of the touchpad can be used to scroll and launch apps)
Weakness: long boot-up time
This laptop is super portable. Awesome notebook - install was really easy. Finger print reader is excellent - especially the additional functionality it offers. (Passowrd logins, launching applications using different fingerprints). Apart from the battery life, which is only about 3 hrs - (fine by me); everything else works to spec.
Strengths: - High Tech Specs - Brilliant Screen - Built-In CD-RW/DVD-RW - Solidly Built - Relatively Inexpensive as compared with the competition
Weakness: - Only 1 Yr Warr - Spongy Keyboard - 1280 x 800 Native Res Screen makes icons too small - Screen too Reflective - Trackpad too Small - Battery Life Marginal - Stodgy Styling - No S-Video Out
Toshiba U205-5002 12.1 Inch Wide Screen Laptop Review POSITIVES · Very high specification laptop…..fast Intel duo core processor, 100 GB 5400-rpm SATA Hard Drive, 1 GB RAM, etc., etc. Very impressive specs for such a small laptop. · Brilliant, vibrant screen. · CD-RW/DVD-RW built-in…..unusual for a professional quality 12 inch laptop. With the IBM ThinkPad’s and the HP Business 12 inch...
Strengths: Small Size, Price, Battery life, Screen size & Quality, Fingerprint reader and so much more in such a small machine
Weakness: none
i would recomend this laptop to anyone looking to buy a new one, its full of good qualities in a small body at an affordable price. Just one day and i am already in love with it
Strengths: - Light weight - Fully loaded - Fingerprint reader - Card reader - Play DVD w/o booting up - XP Pro
Weakness: - Sqareish look - Small 12.1" screen
For the money you can't go wrong. However, I really don't like its squareis look. It weighs 4.4lbs instead of the claimed 4.1lbs. Its build quality is still falling behind ibm/sony/fujitsu but you pay more for the same configurations for the other brands.
Strengths: on time excellent transaction.
Weakness: Nothing
The item was received on time, Everything was excellent. I suggest people to use price grabber all the time. I liked the laptop from where I ordered from price grabber. I will continue shopping from you guys. thank you in advance.
Strengths: - Light weight - Awesome screen and clarity - Huge hard drive (for a small laptop) - Microsoft OneNote (once you use it it will really become your One Note) - Express Media player (plays DVD and CD without boot-up) - Touch and Launch TouhcPad (S
Weakness: Average performance (may be good for others) Slightly longer boot-up time (because of all the extra features that are launched but you can always turn them off) So-So speakers NO Bluetooths
Really nice laptop with good features. For normal usage the battery didn't last for 3.9 hrs ( rated) .. more like 2.5 hrs. I also like the DVD/CD player capability without booting the laptop. Also it doesn't have BT inbuilt .. which is a must for most of the business travelers.
Strengths: size, weight, incredible screen clarity, the hard drive protection function
Weakness: it heats up, some basic Windows XP stuff runs a little slowly
Overall very satisfied with this unit. It's incredibly small and light; the keyboard has nice spring. The screen is incredibly clear. On the downside, some basic Windows operations like populating the list of application in the Control Panel run a tad slowly. I don't know if its just how Toshiba implemented Windows XP on the unit. Also, the hard drive protection function is a blessing and a...
Strengths: it has a shock-mounted hard drive, a shell that's at least partially magnesium (specs say magnesium and polycarbonate ABS), and a real PCMCIA slot.
Weakness: Manufacturers have been using the ultra portable tag quite liberaly of late. I don't consider this ultra portable. Just portable. no bluetooth on this thing
OK, bought the Toshiba (typing on it now). Very happy with it so far. Battery life seems excellent. yeah like I said I'm loving the Toshiba right now. having to buy an extra 512mb definitely played into the decision. the shock mount is pretty cool too. it also looks alot better in my eyes than the lenovo.
Strengths: Lightweight and bright screen
Weakness: no weakness
It is small but not too small, and lightweight, and this fits both those criteria. The 12" screen is just right, and at 4 pounds, it's light enough to carry around in my backpack. Very nice keyboard with lots of extra features -- the touchpad is great.

With the Satellite U205-S5022, Toshiba stuffs a ton of useful features into a durable design that won't weigh you down or cost a bundle. In addition to a speedy Intel dual-core processor, you get a ton of storage space, a DVD burner, a 5-in-1 memory card reader, and a fingerprint sensor to protect your data. It's not the slimmest 12.1-inch system we've seen, and the touchpad is way too small, but...

Great lightweight notebook under $1000
Strengths: Solid construction, lightweight (4.1 lbs), nice widescreen, high end specs for under $1000
Weakness: Could be a little slimmer. Battery life at 3 hrs on normal setting.
This notebook exceeded expectations with the high end list of specs including Core duo processor, 1280x800 resolution, DVD+-RW double layer Drive, 100 GB hard drive for less than $1000 (after rebates w/o tax). It's perfect for someone on the go who doesn't want to drag around a large notebook but still needs the speed/storage to handle huge spreadsheets or a mega library of video/music. It has a...
